Speaker Profile Harvey Magee Harvey Magee’s professional experience spans 32 years in the United States Air Force (USAF) Medical Service Corps, private sector business and government management of medical research and development. A hospital administrator by profession, Harvey Magee retired from the Air Force in 1996. He joined the University of Maryland Medical Center in September 2002 and, under contract, is the Project Officer for Medical Modeling and Simulation (MM&S) and Advanced Surgical Technologies, Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), US Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC), Fort Detrick, Maryland. From 1999 until 2002, Harvey Magee was with Anteon Corporation under contract to TATRC. From 1996 until 1999, he was the Mid Atlantic Regional Manager for PROMODEL, Healthcare Services Division, representing MedModel, a healthcare delivery process simulation program. During his last tour in the Air Force, Major Magee managed the Wartime Medical Planning System (WAR-MED) for the Office of the Surgeon General, Washington, DC. WAR-MED is an Advanced Research and Development program simulation casualty treatment/evacuation worldwide. He led development efforts of the acquisition community, identified resources necessary to operate and sustain WAR-MED, and prepared the medical community to deploy and implement this simulation technology.
