Paul Neumann

Paul Neumann received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2000 at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) developing a vitreoretinal training simulator for Ophthalmology fellows. Afterward, he joined the Simulation Group @ CIMIT in Boston where he has worked on a chest trauma simulator, a laparoscopic training system, the early foundation of the SOFA framework, and an interventional neuro-radiology training simulator. Paul’s work has appeared in MMVR, SAGES, SIGGRAPH, MICCAI, SPIE, National Geographic, and Computer Graphics World.
