Steven Senger, Ph.D Steven Senger, Ph.D. completed his doctoral work in mathematics at Purdue University in 1982. In 1982 he joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where he currently is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Mathematics. He is currently Chair of the Department of Computer Science. His research interests include scientific visualization and in particular anatomical visualization as well as virtual environments and the use of haptics. In 1993 he began work on the Digital Cadaver system which supports a digital analog to the historic dissect&sketch paradigm. Since 1999 has work with the Stanford SUMMIT group on applications of high-performance network to medical education. He is active in the Internet2 Health Science and Bulk Transport groups.
